  2. There are several options available during the game and each can be chosen from the Options Menu.

  4. Sound - Simply toggles the sound effects on and off.
  5.  
  6. Flash Markers - This allows you to have the markers flash on and off when they are displayed the first time.  This is simply a visual aid and can make it easier to see the placement of both markers during  a deflection. There is submenu containing three choices: None, Alternate, and Simultaneous. Choosing 'None' will not flash the markers at all.  'Alternate' will flash the first marker then flash the second marker (if there is one).  'Simultaneous' will flash both markers at the same time.

  8. Color - This menu item is only available on Macintoshes with color. This is a toggle for color on and color off.

  10. Shaded Balls - Selecting this option will draw the balls in a sort of 3D fashion, making them appear more like balls. When this option is not selected then the balls appear as circles filled with a color (or black).

  12. Ball Color - This menu item is only available on Macintoshes with color and when the 'Color' menu item is selected. This allows you to change the default color for the balls to be displayed in. Choose a color you like best from the submenu.

  14. Background Pattern - Will change the current background pattern to one selected from the submenu. If running on a color Macintosh, the background pattern will be displayed in color.

  16. Background Color -  This menu item is only available on Macintoshes with color and when the 'Color' menu item is selected. This allows you to change the default color for the background pattern. Choose a color from the submenu to change the background color.

  18. Note:  Choosing the 'Save Game Settings' from the file menu will save all the current option settings so the next time you play Mystery Box you will not have to change them again.

  20. In addition to the options the 'Save Game Settings' feature will also save this information with Mystery Box for your next game.
